The Benefits of Cast Iron

What makes Di-Acro metal fabrication equipment incredibly robust and durable? One of the largest contributing factors is that our machines are comprised mainly of cast iron components. Cast iron is extremely dense, increasing componentry strength and durability. Natural lubricity is also inherent to cast iron, which reduces wear and increases machine longevity. We are proud that our product withstands the test of time, and to continue the tradition of cast iron use!

Also, new machine parts still work on legacy machines – so if you find one dead somewhere, they can be brought back to life! 🙂

Made in Minnesota

One question that we get frequently is: are all of your products really made in the United States? To which we answer an enthusiastic: YES. The typical follow-up question we receive is: but, you just assemble here, right? And, the parts are made overseas? And boy, are we proud to say: absolutely not.

We take immense pride in the quality of our product and that it is manufactured right here in Minnesota. We also hold great respect for the many decades (over seven to be exact) that our product has: taught students how to form metal and transformed the way they think and create; supported military fighter jets and submarines that have depended on our product durability; aided innovators, who rely on consistent and quality bends, in putting what was once on paper into tangible form. The list could go on, but mostly – we get really excited to see and hear about the value our machines are bringing to so many different people and companies.

(As a side note: if you are working on something you think is pretty spectacular, and want to share – please email us – we would love to hear about it and maybe showcase it here!)

Meet “Nyika” our Di-Acro shop dog

We are beyond excited to launch our new website! That said, we are even more excited to start blogging about the various “happenings” in our shop and to feature our customers in this space. To start things off on the right foot, usually introductions are in order. Meet “Nyika” our Di-Acro shop dog.
